FDA Approves GraMedica Product for Bunion Relief

GraMedica LLC has announced the limited release of the Osteo-Wedge Open Wedge Bone Locking System for patients with moderate to severe bunions.

“With the over 200,000 bunion surgeries performed within the United States every year, one of the main complications is a 60 percent chance of bunion recurrence,” said Jim Bender, M.D., medical science liaison for GraMedica. “[Because of] Osteo-Wedge there should be a significantly lower chance of recurrence as it fixes the deformity at its apex.”

Osteo-Wedge is available in limited-release in the United States; a full rollout is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
